BookExpo and BookCon Show Daily
Yes, it’s that time of year again – when BookExpo and BookCon are on the near horizon. BookExpo runs from May 31-June 2; BookCon takes place June 3 and 4. This year there will be BookExpo Show Daily editions for each day that the floor is open (June 1 and 2) and BookCon Show Daily editions for each day of that show. Publishers Weekly will distribute Show Daily, the official daily newspaper of BookExpo and BookCon, at the Javits Center. Please let us know what you’re doing on and off the floor, in and out of your booth. Pitch us author interviews, pitch us stories. Tell us what panels, autographings, special events, contests, giveaways, or anniversaries you’re celebrating. We understand that some plans are still in flux at this early stage; however, please send any information ASAP so we can begin story and interview selections and assignments.
PLEASE NOTE: We MUST have art (author photo and/or cover jpeg) to accompany all interviews and features. To save everyone time—and to minimize email—please send hi-res jpegs with your pitch.
We do accommodate late-breaking news and on-site photo and text coverage, but we need submissions as soon as possible, with the general deadline of April 14. Do continue to send advance information throughout April and May, the earlier the better.
We are also publishing a BookExpo/BookCon preview feature in the May 15 issue of Publishers Weekly. This will have additional distribution at BookExpo beginning May 31. Check the March 13 issue of PW for calls-for-information specific to that feature.
